another painting [17 Dec 2009|03:01am] eightysix__ [ mood | calm ] for those of you not on my facebook, here's a public link: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30772048&l=d0b52a9e11&id=145602517 i painted that tonight... scott loves it. we hung it up in the living room. :) i'm pretty pleased with it too, considering i've never just sat down and painted (or drawn) ANYTHING before, and this only took about 45 minutes from start to finish. :) i might get some more canvas and try to get better with this... it's a lot of fun and i really like playing with the colors! already i'm learning how to blend, and how certain highlights / lowlights can add dimension. and it's CHEAP. two big canvases at hobby lobby are like $9, and the acrylic paints are $.89 for a pretty decent size bottle! x5 | BANG !

Day 01 → Your favorite song it changes frequently, but right now it's the freshman by the verve pipe. it can honestly bring me to tears. if you haven't heard it, you should listen to it. it cuts me to the core... i'm not sure why it's so significant to me. he took a week's vacation to forget her, his girl took a week's worth of valium and slept, and now he's guilt-strickin' sobbin' with his head on the floor, thinks about her now and how he never really wept. i guess i've felt that -- when scott and i separated, he smothered his emotions with drugs. i thought about killing myself every day. i guess it makes me think about the what-ifs. i don't know. it's an incredible song.
